Here we focus on the wristwear of Dara Khosrowshahi, the CEO of ride-sharing and food-delivery company Uber. Khosrowshahi was previously the head of travel technology company Expedia.
I noticed that he has a fondness for watches from Germany, particularly those from Glashütte.

The first watch I spotted him wearing is from Nomos, a stylish German brand known for its range of watches influenced by the Bauhaus style of design, manufacture movements and very competitive pricing. The watch pictured on Khosrowshahi’s wrist is a rarely seen Lambda Deep Blue.

The 42 mm case of the watch is – unusually for Nomos, who generally focuses on affordable timepieces in stainless steel – crafted in 18-karat white gold. Clearly visible is the unmissable large power reserve indicator, displaying a massive 297-degree arc in the upper half of the dial.
The Lambda boasts a power reserve of 84 hours, legibly stated in German on the right side of the dial. Khosrowshahi also owns a Zürich worldtimer from the brand.
The second watch I spotted Khosrowshahi wearing also hails from Glashütte, though from Nomos’s more luxurious neighbor, A. Lange & Söhne.

This particular model took me a little longer to identify due to the lighting in the photographs changing the color of the dial, but I finally decided Khosrowshahi was sporting a pink gold A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia with a grey dial.

The 37 mm timepiece is a great-looking dress watch powered by manual winding Caliber L941.1 with the signature Lange hand-engraved balance cock.
Khosrowshahi also wears independent brand Ressence, which makes mechanical timepieces that tell the time using a series of rotating disks instead of hands. And these watches have no traditional crown, which gives Ressence’s products a unique case silhouette.

Other notable wearers of Ressence include James Murdoch, the CEO of 21st Century Fox, and Tony Fadell, one of the co-creators of the iPod.

Ressence Type 1 Squared
The particular Ressence Khosrowshahi wears is the Type 1 Squared, which is housed in a cushion-shaped stainless steel case with a steel-colored dial blending seamlessly.
Like its older siblings, the adjustment of the time on the Type 1 Squared is done via a lever on the back of the watch.
My thanks to Sumit Nag for identifying Khosrowshahi’s Ressence.
