Okay, so if you know me, you also know that I am a fan of Nomos. And it’s not hard to define why, including the fact that Nomos watches are the biggest bang for the buck in our industry. I defy any brand anywhere to provide the consumer with more watch for the money than Nomos!
But that still doesn’t answer why I entitled this post, “Bravo, Nomos!”
Nomos has found its own niche within the world of watches. It is easy to see why they have gained such a strong reputation by providing unique, Bauhaus-inspired designs and quality in-house movements at relatively affordable prices. At Baselworld 2016, Nomos Glashütte introduced its new automatic DUW 3001 caliber in the familiar (but usually manually wound) Tetra case, turning it into part of the Neomatik line. Big deal? Yes, big deal! Tetra is square, which is unusual in today’s watch world. The result is an unusual watch that appeals to people looking for something out of the ordinary.
