The Vacheron Constantin Heures Créatives Heure Audacieuse Watch I Wore To Watchmaking’s Most Glamorous Night, The 2019 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG)

Vacheron Constantin is quite accomplished in an area of watchmaking that the average enthusiast of the brand rarely thinks about: the decorative, mechanical ladies’ watch, ideally perfect for an elegant event like a ball or a night out at the opera. Or the horological equivalent, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève’s red-carpet ceremony. Check out the beauty that Elizabeth Doerr had the pleasure of wearing to the 2019 event.

MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT: A Sensational Ladies Watch Both Technically And Visually Scintillating

Some simply take a men’s watch, make it a bit smaller, add some diamonds or mother-of-pearl, and call it a day. Others create what they think women would like (but are not quite sure). Here is what MB&F has done, and rest assured it is anything but ordinary!

The Most Glamorous Night In Watchmaking: The Fabergé Jewelry And Watch I Wore To The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2017

After Fabergé merged with Gemfields in 2013, this historical brand became a specialist in colored stones, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to wear one of its lovely high-jewelry necklaces featuring emeralds to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2017, where I was in the jury. In this case, the large event being the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, watchmaking’s biggest night. The hardest and most important part, however, was deciding what to do about my jewelry and which watch to wear. So, naturally, I turned to my friends at Chopard.

Video: Richard Mille RM 19-02 Tourbillon Fleur

At the 2015 edition of the SIHH, Richard Mille introduced the stunning RM 19-02 Tourbillon Fleur.

The tourbillon is nestled within and concealed by a magnolia flower. Every five minutes, or on demand via a pusher, the flying tourbillon rises up from the movement as the flower opens. The petals of the flower are engraved in gold and hand-painted.

In this exceptionally aesthetic video, The Watches TV visits the Richard Mille workshop to discover the story behind the RM 19-02 Tourbillon Fleur.

Breguet Tradition Reference 7035: Scintillating With Snow-Set Diamonds

When Breguet introduced the Tradition collection in 2005, it took inspiration from Abraham-Louis Breguet’s souscription pocket watches made back when the famed watchmaker himself was still at the helm. The new Reference 7035 is very much a precious version of Breguet’s modern La Tradition with diamonds added to the mix. And they are beautifully snow set!
