La Montre Hermès moved from Baselworld to Geneva for the 2018 SIHH and picked the perfect theme for its debut: “Let’s Play.” The brand’s fun-filled booth and watches were a welcome contrast to the often overly serious business side of the fair.
And this theme continued with the timepieces, led by the eye-catching Carré H, which was Hermès’ main introduction for the SIHH. What a visitor to the booth may have overlooked (as he or she was probably too busy pushing buttons and riding scooters) is the equally square yet fully different Carré Cuir for women, which focuses not only on the case shape but also on Hermès’ stock-in-trade leather.
Both of these new introductions are simple and elegant in their execution, perfectly mirroring the high-quality world of Hermès.
