A long, long, time ago, before electronic computer and console games (if you can possibly imagine back that far), people used to play what were (and still are) called board games.
One of the most well-known board games of all is Monopoly. The early game, which was invented in the USA, was based on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in New Jersey, and the most sought-after bit of prime real estate in both real life and in the game is called Boardwalk.
The British version of Monopoly features areas and streets of London, and the equivalent piece of prime real estate to Boardwalk in both real life and in the game is Mayfair.
Mayfair has the highest concentration of five-star hotels in London, and it is obviously the place to be if you are a high-end brand.
It’s no surprise that it took Richard Mille many years to find a suitable location for a flagship London boutique: the company was not looking for the right space in London, it was looking in the right space in Mayfair.
And in 90 Mount Street, Mayfair, London, Richard Mille found it.
Like many (though certainly not all) of the luxury brands in the area, the Richard Mille boutique is relatively unassuming from the outside. However, two large, frosted images of Richard Mille’s instantly-recognizable tonneau-shaped case on the front windows provide a fairly substantial clue for those familiar with the brand.
I like London; I lived there for quite a few years and like the city’s vibrancy. However, there is nothing quite like closing a door on the mad rush of the outside world to appreciate the instantly relaxing smell of leather and wood.
There’s that . . . and then there are the watches.
It isn’t easy to find a fairly comprehensive range from the Richard Mille collection, and the London boutique is worth a visit just for that.
But there’s more. The boutique also has quite a few models that are either exclusive to the Richard Mille boutiques or are simply extremely rare.
And while it is easy to get lost and submerge all concentration and focus on the watches in the display cases, if you step back and look carefully at the furnishings it quickly becomes evident that the same attention has gone into the small (and large) details of outfitting the boutique itself as goes into the watches.
If you are in or visiting London and like high-end, contemporary watchmaking, I highly recommend a visit to the Richard Mille boutique. I do suggest making an appointment, though.

Sir, can you supply and cost a white rubber strap for my RM11-01, currently has a black strap, and a screw driver to remove case screws?
Many thanks
Hello Paul,
You should contact the Richard Mille boutique or an authorized Richard Mille retailer for information on a new strap.
