Photo Caption Competition No. 14: I Brought This New Boomerang, But . . .

by Ian Skellern

Congratulations to Dan for his winning entry in last week’s competition. You can see his line plus all of the other excellent caption ideas at Photo Caption Competition No. 13: A Few Phones And Many Watches.

This week’s photo was taken at the MB&F M.A.D.Gallery in Geneva during the launch of LM Perpetual in 2015.

And, yes, I was struck by the incongruity of the image and location.

What fun, funny, or sarcastic caption can you suggest for this image? Let us know in the comments.

I actually bought a new boomerang, but I had trouble throwing the old one away because the infernal thing kept coming back . . . so I framed it.

I bought this new boomerang, but I wasn’t sure it loved me. So I set it free, and it came back.

It was originally straight but has drooped in the heat.

There was something special about this boomerang. Couldn’t work it out. Then it hit me.

Times may be tough but this boomerang is here to remind us that, like the watch industry, it will always rebound.
