Photo Caption Competition No. 18: Boat In Snow

by Ian Skellern

Again, if every picture tells a story, this one is likely to be interesting. It was taken on the shores of the solidly frozen Torneträsk (Lake Träsk), near the town of Abisko in the Swedish Arctic circle.

What fun, funny, or sarcastic caption can you suggest for this image? Let us know in the comments below.

And congratulations to Adam for his winning entry in last week’s competition about a pirate’s skull and his dentist. You can see Adam’s caption plus all of the other excellent caption suggestions at Photo Caption Competition No. 17: A Piratical Eye For A Sword.

We would be sorry to see you go Shane. If you are willing to give us another chance, just skip Friday’s post because we generally have fairly interesting horological articles 6 days a week, but take a break on Friday and have some light fun for those that like it.

Sorry guys, I’m not as drastic as Shane but I do see his point. Stick to watches guys. Keep up the good work!

While this comment is a little crudely and simplistically phrased I do agree with the sentiment. This is not what I’d expect to see here and it clutters up my watchville feed with unrelated stuff. This sort of stuff is the main reason I’ve in subscribed from other watch blogs.
