Photo Caption Competition No. 17: A Piratical Eye For A Sword

by Ian Skellern

The say that every picture tells a story. But they also say that dead men tell no tales, and this one is chatting, . . . well chatting like somebody with his jaw wired shut. Or is it wired open?

Full disclosure: the photo below comprises real objects I found at a workshop. Except the eye patch, which I added just because I felt like it. Really.

And congratulations to Fort for his winning entry in last week’s competition suggesting a surfeit of bovine and a reluctance of equine. You can see Fort’s caption plus all of the other excellent caption suggestions at Photo Caption Competition No. 16: Has Anybody Seen My Polo Pony?

The reason I’ve ended up wearing this eye patch is fairly self apparent.
