Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza Winner Takes Home Special Edition A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Timezone
Winner of the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza was Italian collector Corrado Lopresto with a 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SS prototype.
Lopresto became the proud owner of the unique Lange 1 Timezone emblazoned with the words “Como Edition.”
This world time watch, whose rotating city ring was modified to display Como as representing Central European Time, is an aesthetic ticking homage to the incredible beauty of the location and the event.
The choice of winner’s timepiece was particularly apt as the competition’s 2017 motto was “Around the World in 80 Days – Voyage through an Era of Records.”
I had the chance to go to this exceptional event a few years ago – the year that Ralph Lauren took home the big prize for his Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé – which you can read about in Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza And A. Lange & Söhne: Time For Legends.
