Dubai Watch Week kicked off today after being opened by its royal patron, her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. While the discussion panels and Creative Hub talks and presentations begin on Friday, opening day kept visitors busy with two brand exhibition spaces, an exhibition showcasing all of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) winners and another with many of the GPHG pre-selected watches, watchmaking and engraving master classes, and more.
Here are a few photos from the first day of Dubai Watch Week.

So is Dubai Watch Week 5 times bigger than in the previous year?
It’s too early to tell what the visitor numbers will be Boris, but it’s well over 5 times larger in total surface area, has more and better brand exhibition areas. For me it has evolved from a big regional fair to a medium sized international fair.
Lovely Grönefeld, Ian!!
