Elizabeth and Ian are live on location in Le Sentier this week, where we are getting a first-hand look at the skills of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s artisans in some of the 180 different trades and crafts that this manufacture founded in 1833 unites under one (admittedly very large) roof.
This is made possible thanks to the fact that the company founded by Antoine LeCoultre now employs in excess of 1,300 of Switzerland’s most talented artisans, craftsmen and watchmakers.
Their skills begin with movement design and component manufacture and don’t even begin to end with embellishment processes that include the seven enamellers who make their artistic homes within the spacious factory.
Join us as we discover some of the manufacture’s incredible production secrets…and you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter for even more photos and comments live as they’re happening.
And then of course there are the watches, so many fantastic watches both old and new!

What a fantastic article! I recently purchased a JLC Reverso and I love it. It is such an iconic piece for the brand. I can’t wait to read more about your visit. I am jealous as I can only dream of such an experience. I will have to live vicariously through you! Enjoy!
Thank you for your kind words, John. I wish you much pleasure from your Reverso and stay tuned as we will be publishing much more from our visit to Jaeger-LeCoultre.
