Today we ask Mike Pearson, North American director of Bremont and known “footie” fan, to Kick Us Five!

What club or team do you usually root for?

I proudly support the mighty Aston Villa domestically, and being from England the “Three Lions” are my international team!

What is the team you are rooting for during the World Cup?

It can only be England. I have lived in America for almost a decade, but being a proud Englishman from birth means there will only be one country that I will be following in Brazil.

Who is your favorite soccer player?

Within the England set-up, I am a massive fan of Steven Gerrard. He is England’s captain and if he plays like he can and motivates our young squad, then we will do very well indeed!

My favorite player of all time is Paul “GAZZA” Gascoigne… a true genius!

What was your most amazing soccer moment?

Watching Villa and England over the years has always been full of drama and high expectations, but we do not win too much. But the 5-1 win over Germany in Munich and the 4-1 win over Holland in 1996 really stand out. Very recently I played on the Villa Park pitch in a supporters’ game where I scored. There were only a few dozen people watching (including my dad and brother), but to me it could’ve been 45,000 screaming fans!!!!!

What watch will you wear to time the games for yourself?

It is very rare that I go anywhere without my Bremont Norton limited edition, but with a few beers flying all over the pub, I think the Bremont S2000 diving watch will be on my wrist… tested beyond endurance, indeed.
