Caption Competition No. 25: Now That’s A Pothole!

by Ian Skellern

In a previous life I ran overland trips through Africa, Asia, and South America, where road conditions varied considerably. This photo was taken in what was then Zaire, but is now the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and it highlights what happens if a small pothole is not repaired . . . it just keeps getting larger and larger until it can literally swallow trucks whole.

What other stories or funny captions can you suggest for this photo? Please share your suggestions in the comments below.

“It’s easier to get out of the European Union!” submitted by Martin

Congratulations to last week’s winner, Greg, for his suggestion why a car might have windshield wipers on the back window.  You can see that as well as the other excellent caption suggestions at Caption Competition No. 24: Which Way Is Front?

A nice bridge for people on the sides. Could be even a border between states.
