A Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Sitting By The Dock In The Bay. But What’s Going On?

by Ian Skellern

It should surprise nobody that a Ulysse Nardin Dual Time gets out of the office from time to time, and it’s well known that Ulysse Nardin has an affinity for the sea (see Celebrating 20 Years Of Ulysse Nardin’s Marine Line and Boom Times! Ulysse Nardin Grand Deck Marine Tourbillon).

But what on earth do you think that this Dual Time might be doing at this marina? Perhaps it’s waiting for its ship to come in?

Let us know what you think might explain this photo in the comments below.

Congratulations once again to the present king of puns, DanW94, (come on, Ryan, lift your game) for his winning “zeit for sore eyes” caption on the last entry featuring the Urwerk UR-1001 Zeit Device.

You can check out Dan and Ryan’s pun-laden entries as well as all of the others (“jump the shark” was a common theme), at Urwerk Calls This A Zeit Device, But Come On, What’s It Really For?

It looks like someone has dropped their anchor a little short of the mooring.

Dan, the ship may have sailed on this week’s challenge, but if you are still feeling combative, it’s always duel time on my watch 😉

Ryan, I sea urchin-cy in your challenge this week…Here’s my opening salvo.
The Ulysse Nardin Dual Time, lamenting that he’s not made for the sea, likes to come to the dock at the end of a hard day and longingly stare at the vessels on the bay as he says out loud, “I wish I could be like U-boat”….

The owners wife, Penelope, left his watch there to await his return from the Trojan war because after all Ulysses is Latin for Odysseus

Terminator just left (and as we all know he has to travel naked). Must have been an important mission for him to leave such a treasure behind. But wait, when he returns he can arrive a second before he left and then retrieve the watch.

Yeah, bird watching makes sense. Perhaps it’s on holiday in China and it’s checking out the Seagull movements….

It’s sitting on the dock because it can’t go in the water with a leather strap!
