Mission: Impossible Fallout is the sixth installment of the Mission Impossible series featuring Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise as the main protagonist Ethan Hunt, an agent for the Impossible Mission Force (aka the IMF).
The cast is currently traveling around the world to promote the film, with the most recent stop in Seoul, South Korea where I spotted him wearing a couple of timepieces with his outfits. What brand did Tom Cruise choose to wear? Cartier!
And not one, but two Cartiers. At the press conference, Cruise wore a stainless steel Calibre de Cartier Chronograph with white dial on matching bracelet. I find that the Calibre de Cartier stands out with its bold looks, the chronograph function, and that familiar blue spinel in the crown synonymous with Cartier timepieces.
Since the press conference has a more relaxed atmosphere than the red carpet, the choice of this timepiece provided a sporty element to his attire, which included an open-necked, long-sleeve shirt and trousers.
The Calibre de Cartier Chronograph is not a watch you see every day – and it is far less common than a timepiece such as the Rolex Daytona, which is popular with many celebrities (or the GMT-Master II, which I recently spotted Mark Wahlberg wearing).
On the Seoul red carpet, Cruise wore a three-piece navy blue suit and chose a Cartier Tank Française Chronograph on a leather strap to accompany it: it was just possible to see the familiar Cartier clasp, white dial, and elongated case shape underneath his barrel cuffs.
Film cast mate Henry Cavill wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph at the world premiere of this film, which Elizabeth Doerr spotted in Henry Cavill Wears Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph At World Premiere Of ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout.’
