Roger Federer has been a Rolex ambassador (or testimonee as the brand likes to say) since 2001.
In two recent videos on the Rolex YouTube account, the record-holding 20-time Grand Slam champion, known as the GOAT in tennis circles, explains in his own words what he loves about his Rolex watches.
In the video below, Federer talks about his Rolex Datejust Perpetual, explaining that it was the watch he wore in the photo of him holding his fifteenth Grand Slam trophy after winning Wimbledon on July 5, 2009 (above).
Federer explains that this Datejust is one of his favorite watches as it always reminds him of Wimbledon. You’ll have to watch the video yourself to understand why this is the case – and it’s not because of the photo or the win!
In a second video, Federer continues talking with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual in his hand as well as an original 1926 Oyster – this time, though, discussing the meaning of the word icon. His conclusion (unsurprisingly) is that Rolex is an icon.
I love how thoughtfully Federer speaks and – above all – handles the watches as he talks. He really seems to care about them. And as a longtime ambassador, I would hope that is the case.

I am reading almost every blog post and all are very unique and interesting to read. I also checked one of your article where The Roger was explaining about his special Rolexes. I liked both the articles.
