Michael Clerizo sat down at Watches and Wonders 2022 to talk to the watch world at large about Scott Lenga’s just-published book, The Watchmakers, the true story of how Scott’s father Harry used watchmaking as a survival skill as a Jewish prisoner in a Nazi labor camp.
This book is currently on my own nightstand, and I’ll be reviewing it soon here.
But while I’m still finishing processing Watches and Wonders 2022 – and the book! – let’s listen to Lenga speak to Clerizo about why he wrote this book, how he got the idea to write it, and what it entailed to bring it out.
“This project has been chasing me for my entire adult life,” Lenga joked with Clerizo. “In my mid-50s I finally got so slow that it caught up with me.”
