Last year we ran a post featuring the independent grandmaster Philippe Dufour and his daughter Danièla, who now works with him.

A charming video by The Watches TV in that post saw Marc-André Deschoux talking to the father-daughter duo to get a feel for their daily lives.

Now The Watches TV presents a follow-up video marking close to a year of the two working together, which we are very pleased to present here. Philippe expresses his joy at working with Danièla, who is in a perfect position to achieve the high level of work that the master requires for his timepieces and carry on the family name.

The heart of the movement – the balance spring – is what the charismatic Danièla pinpoints as the crux of what they do, and she takes extra care with it. And everything else in its own time.
