What Watch Is The “Duck” Wearing? Caption Competition #29

by Ian Skellern

This week is easy, because today I’m giving you the caption: “Nice watch, duck!”

Unfortunately, as “duck” (aka Sebastian the Ibis of the Miami Hurricanes) turned when he heard the shout − obviously feeling quite pleased that his second favorite watch had been recognized and appreciated − his “down” slipped, thereby covering the wristwatch.

What watch was “duck” wearing and why? I’ll give extra points for suggesting his favorite watch and why it’s his favorite. Please leave your recommendations in the comments below.

It’s “A Rolex Ducktona” submitted by @JakePrice04 via Twitter

Congratulations to Julian for his winning tax advice caption for last week’s caption competition featuring a robotic arm. You can check out that and all of last week’s entries at Can You Lend A Hand? Caption Competition #28.

I think that Duck is wearing a Corum Bubble and that his favorite watch is a Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer, which he wears when going home to visit his family on the lake.

Guess he/she needs to know what time to clock in and out.

A fake hublot or some other Mickey Mouse watch.

A sensible duck watch would be a Sinn UX. For its 5000m HYDRO water resistance

In true Miami fashion , Sebastian is certainly wearing an iced out Rolex gmt. I know because I live in Miami and attend all the football games and it’s the only watch he wears on field. When Sebastian is not on the field surging the canes to victory, he relaxes with his favorite time piece, a more subtle snoopy moon watch. ( he loves the cartoon character depiction).

The watch that he is wearing while he works is a Mallard Watch as made and sold by Jules Borel. And at home and for social he most likely wears a Rolex!

Nice riddle! Whatever this angry duck wears, I would consider him to wear a nylon strap (you know, the birds should have something water resistant).
