Mark Wahlberg seems to be be wearing more and more Patek Philippe timepieces. And while promoting his latest film, Instant Family, the Boston-born actor was wearing yet another chronograph from the Geneva maison.
But not any old Patek Philippe wrist timer: the Reference 5370P split-seconds chronograph. This platinum-encased watch features a wonderful black enamel dial with applied Breguet numerals, though its pièce de resistance is the rattrapante movement viewable through the sapphire crystal case back, which is a piece of art. Our GaryG owns the same model, which you can see in Why I Bought It: Patek Philippe Reference 5370P.
The second watch I spotted Wahlberg wearing was a Rolex Submariner. And, again, not any ordinary Submariner, but Reference 116659 SABR housed in an 18-karat white gold case with matching bracelet.
The dark blue dial is missing its depth rating verbiage, which may be due to the fact that the crown guard area and top of the lugs are adorned with diamonds. The bezel features 27 dark blue square-cut sapphires, 11 square-cut diamonds above the hour markers, and a triangle-cut diamond at 12 o’clock.
It is powered by the same movement as its less blingy Submariner siblings, automatic Caliber 3135.
And, finally, I also spotted Wahlberg wearing a platinum Rolex Day-Date featuring Eastern Arabic numerals, made for the Middle Eastern market, during press interviews for his film Mile 22 in August 2018.
