Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton (Video)

Our friends at The Watches TV visited Vacheron Constantin’s Geneva boutique to talk with the brand’s style and heritage director Christian Selmoni, who provided the story of the new Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton.

This Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton marks the first time that Vacheron Constantin offers such a high complication with a skeletonized movement in its sporty casual Overseas collection. Its super-thin movement, only just over 4 mm in height, is decorated quite differently than its non-skeletonized siblings.

Vacheron Constantin’s engravers have dispensed with the expressive hand-engraving with which the brand would normally embellish such a high-end movement. This movement is instead entirely finely finished in the brand’s usual quality, however the decorations are kept in line with the sporty look of the case and bracelet, only adding a gunmetal grey galvanization of some of the movement components.

Vacheron Constantin also added a bracelet to the non-skeletonized pink gold version of the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin this year. Though its beautiful deep blue dial is not to be trifled with, our pick is still the skeletonized variation.
