Following the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and the isolating feel of digital fairs, the prospect of a bright, sunny, warm, and welcoming in-person Dubai Watch Week warms our hearts immensely!
And if the past four editions of this bright star on the horological calendar are any indication, we are in for a real treat this time around. And for more reasons than simply celebrating a return to normality and the ability to touch and feel new watches and meet with old and new friends.
Dubai Watch Week 2021
“This is a milestone year for the UAE and Dubai Watch Week, with the UAE celebrating its fiftieth anniversary and this being the fifth edition of DWW,” said Hind Seddiqi, director general of Dubai Watch Week.
“Our goal this year is to continue to expand on the unique platform we have built and champion innovative concepts and experiences that appeal to a wider audience. We are delighted to reunite soon with our partners, exhibiting brands, members of the press and enthusiasts on ground to celebrate the industry and the aforementioned milestones.”
The Gate Building at Dubai Watch Week
One reason for excitement surrounding the exhibition, which will be again staged at Dubai International Financial Centre’s Gate, is the projected richer event program, which the organizers are calling “Connecting, Creating, and Celebrating.” It aims to stage programs and events combining the worlds of luxury and horology with other key industries to create experiential occasions.

Also, with the UAE celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, the Expo (formerly the World’s Fair) is set to take place in Dubai at the same time. Not only is this going to be an amazing touristic draw, this global celebration will certainly bring more opportunity to Dubai Watch Week’s exhibition.
I for one am very excited to see how it unfolds!
Dubai Watch Week is set to run from November 24 through November 28, 2021.
