In this final round table discussion, my Quill & Pad colleagues Ian, Joshua, Gary, Amr, and I discuss the amazing evening of October 29, 2015 at the elegant Grand Théâtre in Geneva. Halloween Heartbeat: MB&F Arachnophobia

Halloween, a word contracted from “All Hallow’s Eve,” is a predominately American celebration whose traditions come from late nineteenth-century Celtic origins. And now along comes a modern mechanical time-telling spider, the MB&F Arachnophobia – a realistic-looking arachnoid made of metal and other materials traditionally used in watchmaking. Look upon it if you dare!

And what a great way to start the retail introduction of the new Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver Artemis Racing: with Artemis Racing winning its first America’s Cup challenger bid in Bermuda!

Understanding The America’s Cup’s Fascination With Time

The America’s Cup, the world’s oldest international sporting trophy, first became a serious topic in the world of watches back in 2003, when Audemars Piguet became the partner of Cup challenger ‘Alinghi.’ In this thirty-fifth edition of the America’s Cup, we see a number of watch brands involved aside from principal sponsor, Louis Vuitton. Beginning with Ulysse Nardin, the timing partner of Artemis Racing.
