As we reach the end of another year and celebrate the season in our own special way, I want to sing a little song about what I got for Christmas in 2014. Okay, I admit I didn’t actually get any of these watches, but in my dreams I did!
You may be familiar with the old Christmas diddy “The Twelve Days Of Christmas.” Well, every year some bored economist tries to figure out exactly how much it would all cost if the twelve items were purchased that year, with the going rate fluctuating based on supply and inflation.
But these economists never seem to offer up any indication of what they might actually want if they were on the receiving end of the 12 gifts. If I had it my way, here is how it would go for me. Let me sing you the final verse of this song in horological terms…
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
