It’s an extraordinary feat when some of the most established brands and interesting independents in watchmaking come together for a worthy cause.
Since 2005, Only Watch has been one of the most significant auctions in the watch world. A biennial charity auction founded by Luc Pettavino, Only Watch is organized by the Monegasque Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (MAAMD) under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Brands donate unique timepieces that are auctioned. The proceeds are used completely to help finance research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a debilitating and life-threatening genetic disorder that affects around one in 3,500 boys including Pettavino’s own son.
The 2015 edition of Only Watch is to be held on November 7. This sixth edition of the biennial charity auction is exceptional for a few reasons.
For one, for the first time in its history the auction will not be taking place in Monaco, the home of the MAAMD, but in the world watchmaking capital of Geneva.
For another, this will also be the first time the auction is held by Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo rather than Antiquorum.
Only Watch 2015 also contains the highest number of donated pieces ever: 44 in total. This includes noteworthy newcomers to the cause such as F.P. Journe, H. Moser & Cie., and Tudor.
Below is the complete listing of the unique timepieces you could acquire in the 2015 Only Watch auction and their estimated hammer prices. For more information, please visit www.onlywatch.com.
