Why I Bought It: Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute To Reverso 1931 – Reprise

January 9, 2021/6 Comments/in Collectors and Collecting, Jaeger-LeCoultre/by GaryG

In this instance, the Reverso Tribute to 1931?

December 19, 2020/0 Comments/in Highlights, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Ladies watches/by Ian Skellern

This is a family affair: a story of Ian’s wife Brigitte, her horse Gucci, his father Neil, and an engraved Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique. And this is a good example of how and why you might want to commission a work of art on the back of a Reverso.

December 12, 2020/1 Comment/in Highlights, Collectors and Collecting, Jaeger-LeCoultre/by GaryG

This is the story of the final watch – or, truthfully, pair of watches – that GaryG happened upon at a Sotheby’s auction in late 2017 and felt that he just had to have: two 1970s prototype pieces made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. But why “unsalable”?

November 28, 2020/0 Comments/in Give Me Five!, Technology, De Bethune, Jaeger-LeCoultre/by Ryan Schmidt

Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Memovox: Sounds Traveling Through Water Like Whale Song

October 22, 2020/0 Comments/in Jaeger-LeCoultre/by Ian Skellern

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Memovox doesn’t just sound as good below water as it does above, it sounds even better! While many of the recent Memovox models have been unashamedly contemporized, the Polaris Mariner Memovox is a relatively faithful tribute to the original 1965 Polaris. And it sounds as charming as the original, but better in every way.
